CASPER Suicide Prevention Strategy

The Strategy that we provided to the Prime Minister is now available on this website under the research tab. Hard copies are available for $15 each and can be ordered by emailing us through the contact tab. We have had very positive feedback on the strategy from experts around the world,frontline suicide prevention workers and families who have experienced suicide in New Zealand.

Unlike the government, we don't develop a strategy, fix it in place for 5 years and doggedly defend it despite the emergence of new evidence showing it is incorrect. We expect our strategy to evolve as our understanding does and as new evidence comes to light. We review it constantly in the light of feedback and new research so would be keen to get feedback from anyone who has the time to provide it.

We are very keen to get feedback from anyone who reads the strategy. We want to know about errors or ommissions as well as what works well and accords with people's knowledge and experience. We are particularly grateful to people who can send us research or other evidence we may have missed.
