Coffins

My 12 year old son had an awesome coffin. We painted it in different shades of green (his favourite colour). WE asked all his friends to sign his coffin at the end of the funeral as a way of saying goodbye, similar to what kids would do at the end of school year when they sign each others t-shirts.

Toran's coffin was

Toran's coffin was screenprinted with pasifika designs to honour his Cook Island heritage. I remember being so relieved that I didn't have only woodgrain or white coffins to choose from. I still struggle to use the word coffin in a sentence about Toran...

Coffins ...

Much like alot of people I know I really don't like the word coffin ...
My brother was 27 when he passed and he was a real clean freak he was one of very few in our family
that could wear white and have it remain white so we chose a white casket for
him we all signed the inside of the lid with messages for him and had him cremated hes now in a scattering canister with the most beautiful sunrise and sunflowers printed on it as his name translated (Te Hemoata) meant "The early morning sunrise"
