Of particular interet to NZers should be the inclusion of Apathy Syndrome. NZ Pharmaceutical company Neuren Pharmaceuticals, established by the PM's Chief Science Adviser who still holds shares in it, is in clinical trials for a drug to 'treat' this disorder. We have raised concerns about this conflict of interest with the PM and had no satisfactory response but have another meeting coming up soon where we will address the issue once again.
